How To Glue Sequins On Fabric

When we design or make costume,dresses or other DIY products.Sequins is one of our choice to add some glitter or shinny to that.

There are several ways to attach sequins on fabric,like sew sequins on fabric,hot melt method on fabric or glue sequin on fabric.

This article will share some experience of how to glue sequins on fabric or we can call how to glue sequins to fabric.

1.Prepare the materials:

  Choose the fabric material,sequin color,size

  Purchase fabric-friendly and environmental glue(this you can consult the glue seller)

  Make a clean,flat work place

  Prepare scissors,invisible fabric marker,tweezers,mini plate,(brushes if it is needed).

2.Clean the fabric

  Prepare a clean fabric without dust,oil or other dirty things.

3.Draw Makers on Fabric

  Draw markers on fabric where you want to stick the sequins on.t would be better to do it with invisible fabric marker as the marker can be washed and leave no marker on fabric.

If your sequins is piece by piece,following step 4.If your sequins is a string of sequins together,following step 5

4.Glue the sequins on fabric(1)

  Decant the glue into the mini plate and stick the sequins with tweezers to dip it into the glue,

  then PRESS the sequins gently on the fabric where you marked.

5.Glue the sequins on fabric(2)

Using brushes to apply a thin layer of glue on sequins or on the fabric where you want to glue the sequins on.Then press the sequin string gently on the fabric.

6.Leave the sequins and fabric dry

  After you completed to glue all sequins.Please do not move or wash it immediately.Leave it to dry and make sure the sequins glue on the fabric sturdy.The time depends on what glue you use,generally one day would be enough.
